My desire for painting is difficult to put into words. I believe that everything in life happens for a reason. I myself cannot understand the things that have occurred in my life, some of which I do not want, but have to accept as part of being human. This opens up the possibility for lived experiences to be both creative and transforming. Like all of this, we do have the possibility to transform what the Creator has created! There is no doubt that beautiful surroundings provide us with a favourite environment that helps us thrive.
Flowers are an elementary and affordable way to add a splash of colour and emotion into my life. Nature, however wild in its primal form, is tamed and balanced by our subtler, finer feminine interior self. The wild passion of our instinctive nature does not need to be broken, but refined and brought to consciousness, so that all levels of creation, inner and outer, may come into harmony.
When I prepare to go to the studio to paint, I invite myself to another world where I can close off all of the pain, and live only for my emotions surrounded by paints, brushes, pictures, books and music. Also, I appreciate drawings from children, who are free from restrictions, which to me is what creativity is all about. I believe in living life to our fullest passion. I consider myself a positive person, open minded; I am a free spirit in every sense of the word. All this beautiful surroundings put me in a new path in my career as an artist; that is Illustration.
